Redwood Reider (they/them) is a spoken word poet known for inspiring and uplifting live audiences.
Redwood often collaborates on stage with live musicians, weaving poems into musical tapestries to help the medicine sink in. Redwood has performed at arts and music events across Aotearoa and beyond, and has produced four recorded albums of poetry with music. Performances may include intimate storytelling, reimaginations of the quest for ecological and social justice, celebrations of queerness beyond the binary and healing voyages through the body and mind. Their rhymes grow out of a deep connection to earth, a love of community and a passion for tending and regenerating our inner and outer worlds. Words flow from the heart with humour and compassion – aiming to reconnect us all with our true nature.
