SorchaLula fell deeply in love with dance music after getting unexpectedly stuck in China some years ago. Never happier than in the midst of a dancefloor, she amps on tracks that make the body truly move, or the soul transcend. She typically channels hefty basslines, silky melodies and irresistibly dancey beats, and has become known for her strong selections and intuitive understanding of what the crowd needs.
She plays from downtempo to house, across 140 bass/dubstep, and up to halftime, jungle, liquid and drum n bass, often crafting multi-genre sets. She plays festivals and gigs around Aotearoa, such as Aum Festival NYE, Twisted Frequency Festival, CubaDupa, Earth Beat Festival, Beervana, and a diverse range of other events. She also runs The Sensonauts, creating experiences through the senses, music, dance and more, and music education with a focus on inclusivity.
